“Authenticity Matters” ~ The Cheesesteak Guy ~
“So glad this guy exists. I have to order cheesesteaks every month because they are the best I've ever had, and I am a huge cheesesteak fan!
He is extremely generous with the meat and cheese, so don't worry about ordering extra.
The steak is cut razor and extremely tender. All delivered with a reasonable cost to your door.”
How can a spot in Idaho make such delicious cheesesteaks? These are incredible and huge.
We ordered 2 steak sandwiches and their parmesan fries and holy smokes we will be regulars for ever!
Our neighbor mentioned how good there are and right away we ordered.
They deliver too, that's a big bonus!
One question, if you haven't tried these cheesesteaks yet, why not?
A lot of people say this place serves the best cheese steaks around.
They aren't wrong, their cheese steaks are killer.
Actually, I was surprised at how good it is living in Meridian and all. The roll was perfect and their ribeye was thinly sliced and cut well, the fried onions were firm and made for a damn legit cheese steak. Too bad they don't have a storefront or truck, they certainly deserve one. WE WILL BE BACK!
One bite will make your taste buds sing!
We had the Classic, The Whiz, a Ribeye slider, and a BBQ chicken slider.
Oh, and thick cut onion rings, breaded & crispy. Super generous portions. Superb, all around!

Our Menu & Ingredients

A. Popularity changes quite often, however, our most popular cheesesteaks in 2025 are the Mushroom Steak, South Philly Whiz, The Classic Steak, Pizza Steak, and our Chicken Pepper Cheesesteak.
Q. What are some toppings you won't add on the cheesesteaks?
A. Great question! We've been asked to put tomatoes, lettuce, black olives, spinach, and a few other items on our cheesesteaks. If we added these things to our cheesesteaks they would no longer truly be cheesesteaks! We stick to authentic ingredients.
Q. How are your sauces made?
A. Our delicious sauces are the result of years of "on-the-job training" for The Cheesesteak Guy's owner while he lived in Philadelphia. The owner inherited the recipes from his mentor, Mario, who got them from his father back in the early 1950s. We create our sauces/spreads in-house, fresh for every order.

About Cheesesteaks (The Lore)
Q. What is a cheesesteak?
A. This legendary sandwich is made from thinly sliced ribeye steak. The grilled steak is placed on an authentic Amoroso's Hearth Baked Roll and is traditionally topped with melted American, Cheez Whiz, or Provolone cheese. Another popular variation of a Philadelphia cheesesteak consists of caramelized onions, bell peppers, and fried mushrooms. In our "pepper department," we offer fresh jalapeños, habaneros, serrano peppers, sweet peppers, roasted garlic, and banana peppers, which are all excellent cheesesteak options, especially if you’re looking for that extra kick!
Q. Where did the Philly Cheesesteak originate?
A. The cheesesteak was developed in the early 20th century "by combining grilled steak, onions and cheese in a small loaf of bread," according to a 1987 exhibition catalog published by the Library Company of Philadelphia and the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.
Philadelphians Pat and Harry Olivieri are often credited with inventing the sandwich by serving chopped steak on an Italian roll in the early 1930s. The exact story behind its creation is debated, but according to many accounts, Pat and Harry Olivieri originally owned a hot dog stand, and on one occasion, decided to make a new sandwich using chopped beef and grilled onions. While Pat was eating the sandwich, a cab driver stopped by and was interested in it, so he requested one for himself. After eating it, the cab driver suggested that Olivieri quit making hot dogs and instead focus on the new sandwich.
They began selling this variation of steak sandwiches at their hot dog stand near South Philly's Italian Market. They became so popular that Pat opened up his own restaurant which still operates today as Pat's King of Steaks.
The sandwich was originally prepared without cheese. According to Pat's son Herb Olivieri, American cheese was first added by "Cocky Joe" Lorenza, a manager at the Ridge Avenue location in March of 1951. (However, other Olivieri members may say it was provolone.) There is some dispute over whether Pat's was the first to add cheese, though to date no concrete evidence has emerged to disprove Olivieri's story.
Cheesesteaks have become popular at restaurants and food carts throughout the city with many locations being independently owned, family-run businesses. Variations of cheesesteaks are now common in several fast food chains. Versions of the sandwich can also be found at high-end restaurants. Many establishments outside of Philadelphia refer to the sandwich as a "Philly cheesesteak."
